The Third Global Forum of Ecological Economics in Forestry (GFEEF 2017) is to be held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China from May.20-21, 2017.

Listed as an important event of the International Union of Forest Research Organizations (IUFRO), GFEEF has attracted prevailing attention among international professionals, experts and scholars in the field.

GFEEF 2017 themed in “Harmonious Future for Human Wellbeing”, is hosted by Division of Ecological Economy of IUFRO, Nanjing Forestry University, and Nanchang Institute of Technology. Topics of the forum cover a lot of aspects, ranging from forest-water ecosystem management, climate change and adaptation, ecosystem service and value assessment, forest-water ecological economic policymaking to ecological restoration and management. The forum will focus on the harmonious progress between ecology and economy in forestry, and discusses the harmonious growth between water ecology and economy. It aims at exploring how to operate the economy within the ecological constraint of the earth’s natural resources to further realize the harmonious future.
